SMS notification policy

What this is

8Count Backstage is a booking platform used by individual dance studios. Each studio is a separate tenant; this policy covers the transactional SMS messages we send from our shared sending number to parents on behalf of those studios.

Messages you may receive

We send only three kinds of message, all transactional:

1. Booking link: when your dance studio is ready for you to book a solo / duet / trio time slot, we send a one-time link.
2. Reminder: approximately two hours before that booking link expires, if you haven't used it yet.
3. Confirmation: when you pick a time, we confirm the teacher, room, and time.

We never send marketing, advertising, or promotional messages over SMS.

How we collect opt-in

Each dance studio collects SMS opt-in from parents on its own enrollment paperwork — typically a signed paper contract or PDF — which includes the following language (or substantially similar):

Messages are limited to booking links, reminders, and booking confirmations. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is approximately 1–6 messages per booking season. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

The studio admin records this opt-in in our system before any message can be sent to that phone number. Our audit log records the opt-in state at the time of every send.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all SMS from 8Count Backstage. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further texts. To re-enable, contact your studio's administrator.
